Troops of Operation DELTA SAFE in a special operation, Sunday night,  repelled an attack around Ajakpa community in the creeks of Southern Ondo State. The attack was led by a notorious gang leader, Ossy Ibori whose hideout is at Ajakpa, Ese-Odo area of Ondo State.<br />

A statement on Monday by Major Abubakar Abdullahi, Coordinator, Joint Media Campaign Center, said Ossy Ibori, was gunned down during the gun duel, along with some of his gang members.<br />
<br />
It noted that the search for others who jumped into the water with gunshot wounds is ongoing and that troops recovered one AK-47 Rifle and 4 Magazines.<br />
<br />
The statement added that Ossy Ibori and his men had been terrorising parts of Lagos, Ogun and Ondo states.<br />
<br />
”They committed many atrocities threatening the peace and security of the general areas. Last month, they were part of those who killed an army captain and 2 policemen at Ikorodu. Also late last year, they abducted students and staff of a secondary school.<br />
<br />
”The criminals, in addition, carried out several attacks at Ese-Odo community around Ajakpa, Safarogbo and Balowo areas. The need to flush them out from their hudeout became necessary to ensure peace and security in Ondo state.<br />
<br />
”Sadly in the process, one gallant soldier paid the supreme price while 3 others sustained gun shot wounds. They have since been moved to military hospital for proper medical attention”.</div>

Underground moves to resolve the marriage crisis rocking Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and her hotelier husband, Lanre Gentry’s marriage have failed. It has been revealed according to New Telegraph that the matter has been reported to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode through the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs for justice.<br />

A top official in the ministry revealed that the matter has been brought to the attention of the body; stressing it is a matter of urgency due to the mandate given to the ministry by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to crack down on domestic violence especially against women.<br />

“I am commenting on this based on your manner of approach, so please I’d like my privacy to be respected. Truly, the case is with us here.<br />
<br />
"Mercy Aigbe, it was learnt, personally reported the assault, and because of the governor’s zero tolerance for domestic violence, we are as a matter of urgency investigating the whole drama. It is a good thing that it has also been brought to the public eye.<br />

”We’re still very much on top of the matter and we’ll get it to its logical conclusion,” he said.<br />

A human rights activist, Esther Ijewere, who was the first to render help to the actress, stressed that there is no justification for domestic violence.<br />

In a bombshell announcement that shocked congregants and viewers of Emmanuel TV alike, Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua declared his intentions to leave Nigeria and relocate his ministry to the nation of Israel.<br />

According to the cleric, the invitation to Israel came due to the growing popularity of Joshua’s television channel Emmanuel TV, which is especially known on YouTube.<br />

“Your life can preach a better sermon than your mouth,” he exhorted the congregation, stating that the Israeli officials had observed his ministry from afar before inviting him.<br />
<br />
No timeframe for the move was specified in the service and it was not clear whether activities in The SCOAN’s Ikotun-Egbe base would cease entirely.<br />
